I just got a new TaoTao ATM150-A scooter and it is really a blast to ride. The video shows my ride to work on a Saturday morning, hence the lack of traffic. Video was shot with a GoPro Motorsports Hero camera. Although I got it up to 65 mph in this video I would say 55 would be a reasonable top speed to count on. I hit 65 (closer to 67 actually) on a slight decline with no headwind. I find that once you start going UPHILL, even the slightest incline will slow you down considerably. Given the smaller tire size of these scooters (13" in my case) I would not recommend anything over 55 for any considerable length of time, and if you plan on frequent highway driving (55mph +) I will tell you a 250cc is a must, for your safety AND the safety of the other motorists on the highway. Here in Dallas most of the surface streets are 35-45 MPH zones, and many are 3 lanes each direction, so this is a perfect size. I'm lovin' it!
